Pead PR bolsters corporate offering

Stephen Jones joins as Account Director

Pead PR announces the appointment of Stephen Jones as Corporate Account Director, further solidifying its corporate offering.

Stephen will join Pead’s Technology, Entertainment and Corporate team, which works on leading local and global brands including Xero, Precinct Properties, UP Education and New Zealand King Salmon.

Pead PR managing partner Sarah Munnik says Stephen’s wealth of corporate experience reinforces the agency’s position as a leading full-service PR agency: “Stephen joins us with more than 15 years of experience in some of the most high-profile, high-pressure positions in New Zealand including government advisory roles and in-house corporate communications positions.

“Stephen is the definition of a corporate communications specialist. At the end of the day our clients need results, whether that’s garnering media coverage, getting in a room with the right stakeholders or managing their reputation through a crisis,” explains Sarah.

As a corporate communications veteran, Stephen will work closely with some of Pead’s top corporate clients on developing strategic communications plans, combating crisis communication issues, upcoming announcements and client events.

Stephen says he jumped at the opportunity to work at Pead: “The reputation of both the senior leadership team and Pead as an agency speaks for itself.

“They are disruptors, with the ability to answer a client’s every PR need. The fact that Pead is full service means it has the in-house capability to offer our corporate clients content and digital strategy, in addition to consumer support when they need to talk directly to consumers,” says Stephen.

Stephen joins Pead PR after a year as Communications and Engagement Manager at the New Zealand Beverage Council. He has previously held senior corporate communications roles at the Department of Corrections, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Petroleum Exploration and Production Association of New Zealand (PEPANZ) and the Offices of Hon Judith Collins and Hon Anne Tolley.
