New Zealand’s King salmon species is renowned amongst professional and amateur cooks alike for its taste, texture and nutritional value. New Zealand King Salmon is committed to growing the world’s best salmon with the lowest possible impact on the environment.  For the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) of shares in the business, Pead PR was appointed to handle communications. 

We developed a strategy that included a combination of content and media engagement.  Working closely with both the capital advisers and legal teams ensured all the legal requirements and those of the NZX were properly met.  Pead PR’s involvement covered all communications aspects of the IPO from the initial announcement of the intention to list through to the registration of the prospectus, to the actual listing event and as media comment evolved.

Tactics included communicating the IPO to New Zealand King Salmon stakeholders including staff, suppliers and trade partners, managing the press office, developing Q&A documents and forward thinking any potential issues.

Pead PR also arranged and managed the listing event together with a media send-out to celebrate the listing.  The event was well attended by stakeholders and followed by a series of media interviews.

The well-constructed approach to communicating the IPO, from inception to listing, resulted in clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders. Top tier media interviews and coverage were secured to support the listing.
