In 2013, renowned Kiwi chef Nic Watt returned home after nine years in London. Fresh from running the acclaimed restaurant Roka, Nic brought all his extensive experience and training home to open MASU at SkyCity. Great restaurants rest on the shoulders of great chefs, so we put equal energy into launching MASU and reintroducing Nic to Auckland’s discerning diners.

The key was for local food, consumer and lifestyle media to meet Nic, experience MASU’s designer environment, and taste the spectacular food on its menu. Through events and profile raising interviews, we were able to generate 800 pieces of editorial for Nic Watt and MASU a PR value of more than $3 million.

I have been working with Pead PR since my return to New Zealand. They have been able to very effectively manage both MASU and TRUE food and yoga brand profiles, plus my personal profile in the New Zealand market. We are very proud to have representation and brand alignment with Pead PR. Both Deborah and her team are always available at any time with gives a 7-day lunch and dinner business great peace of mind.
