On the coattails of Gabriel Macht’s successful trip last year, online streaming service Lightbox brought his Suits co-star Rick Hoffman to New Zealand for his own press tour. While his character on the show, Louis Litt, is known for his less than likeable persona, Rick proved to be the opposite and was a hit with media and fans alike.

Pead PR’s objective during Rick’s visit was to facilitate media interviews and fan interactions so Kiwis could hear more about the latest season of Suits, and get to know the hilarious and loveable Rick. Pead PR set up 18 media interviews across a variety of platforms. On top of this, Pead PR and Lightbox also executed a Facebook Live Q&A with Rick – an initiative that saw social interaction surge and having over 50k views on Facebook.

Pead PR was also tasked with supporting Lightbox in the organisation of a fan meet and greet with Rick, including shooting videos, managing the photographers as well as fans.

Rick’s visit was ultimately a huge success. Pead PR ensured Rick was interviewed by New Zealand’s major media outlets, including the very first episode of The AM Show, Jono and Ben as well as a wide variety of radio and print outlets.

Parrot Analytics, which works to help the television industry understand the global demand for content, found that after Rick’s visit, there was a surge in demand for Suits across the country. Rick’s visit to NZ increased demand for the hit show by as much as 11 percent in the few days he spent here.
