How we launched the HUAWEI P30 Series
For our fifth device launch with smartphone manufacturer Huawei, we looked to our strong ties with technology media to generate review coverage of the incredible new HUAWEI P30 Series.
With a consumer launch in the pipeline, Pead PR looked to engage technology media and pique their interest in another device from a cluttered market of smartphone manufacturers.
Fortunately, we had an innovative, well-designed device that truly reinvented the wheel of smartphone technology with the HUAWEI P30 and P30 Pro. Leaning on new innovations like impressive 10x optical zoom and a quad lens camera, Pead PR reached out to key technology reviewers to gauge their interest in reviewing a device.
From experience hosting media at device launch events, Pead PR knew it would be important to capture their attention in an intimate setting in order to ensure that device Key Selling Points were clearly communicated and included in reviews.
Pead PR worked with Huawei to host 18 technology and review media at Sid at the French Café ahead of the regional device launch, securing attendance and reviews from NZ Herald, Newsroom, NZ Business, NZ Tech Podcast, IDG, Techday, Newstalk ZB, Listener, Consumer and more.
On arrival, media were surprised by receiving the new HUAWEI Watch GT for review – a device we knew media would be thrilled to receive.
With a short presentation covering both the P30 Series and the Watch GT, media were free to play with their review devices and ask any questions about the products, as well as enjoying the outstanding cuisine from Sid at the French Café.
At the same time, Huawei hosted New Zealand media at the global device launch event in Paris, including Stuff, Newshub, NZ Herald, MiNDFOOD and Remix.
The result? Wide-spread coverage in mainstream media outlets and technology verticals discussing the HUAWEI P30 Series. Working with a company that produced a stand out device at a competitive price point meant reviews were glowing, raving about the device and its incredible features.
