In 2017, Pead PR helped Aura launch New Zealand’s premier cyber security conference, 31c0n, to address the growing need to educate Kiwi businesses about the real threats of cybercrime.  The conference, aimed at CIOs, CISOs and security practitioners brought 13 international and local cybersecurity experts to Auckland for two days of talks and idea sharing.

In the lead up to the event, Pead PR played a key role in driving tickets sales for the event which included a pre-event media engagement strategy.  Interviews were set up for Peter Bailey, general manager of Aura Information Security, with key journalists to raise awareness of the conference and Aura Information Securities leadership in this space.

Pead PR created a series of thought leadership articles, secured podcast interviews and worked with publishers on sponsored content and ticket giveaways.  The team at Pead PR also managed the 31c0n Twitter page, ensuring relevant and interesting tweets were posted in support of the event.

During the conference Pead PR filmed ‘vox pops’ with the guest speakers and arranged a series of interviews for the speakers with key media in attendance.

The efforts of Pead PR played a key role in attracting the 160 attendees to the event and helped to raise awareness of Aura Information Security as a leader in cybersecurity, as well as securing coverage in some of New Zealand's leading technology publications.
