Deborah Pead

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Deborah began her PR career in South Africa and started her own consultancy in 1987.  When she immigrated to New Zealand in 1996, she brought her extensive retail and brand PR experience with her. Immersing herself in the media scene, she immediately began developing important contacts and client networks as general manager of 141 New Zealand’s PR division.

She left in 2001 to establish Pead PR and focus on consumer-focused brand building. Starting with a staff of one and her home dining table as her desk, the business quickly went from strength to strength.

Deborah is now one of New Zealand’s most respected and influential PR practitioners, with incredible networks, a talented team and a highly successful business.

Becky Erwood

Managing Director

BA, English & Drama, Certificate in Advertising and Marketing, Chartered Institute of Marketing, WSET Advanced.

Becky has 18 years of both in-house and agency PR experience in a range of sectors including retail, food and drink, beauty and fashion. She has worked closely with boards and brands on external communications strategies for some of the UK and New Zealand’s best loved and most respected brands including Marks & Spencer Waitrose, My Food Bag and Farmers along with FMCG brands including Kellogg’s and L’Oreal.

Becky’s skillset is in navigating the business through the new media landscape and her focus is on driving integrated content-led solutions for our clients. She is also pioneering a strategic and individual approach to influencer and brand-owned content marketing.

Konrad Kasiske

Content Director

BA, Auckland University

Konrad joins us with more than a decade’s experience producing content for Television News Zealand’s One News, most recently as Foreign Editor. He is responsible for all content production, and heads up a team that can design creative and innovative solutions for any brief.

Anna Farrera

Group Account Director - Beauty & Wellness

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) English, Politics and American Studies - University of Canterbury, Christchurch

Anna is a seasoned PR professional with fifteen years’ experience both in agency and in-house roles in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Her career spans a range of sectors including consumer, B2B, infrastructure, tourism, lifestyle, arts and property. Most recently she was the New Zealand Communications Manager for global infrastructure firm AECOM, a Fortune 500 Company. Anna has worked closely with CEOs and senior executives, providing strategic communications counsel to successfully build brands and enhance reputations.

Sarah Munnik

Group Account Director - Corporate, Technology & Entertainment and Lifestyle

Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Rand Afrikaans University, PR Diploma London Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Sarah has more than a decade of technology and corporate communications experience. Her clients have included Cisco, Amazon Web Services, NetApp, Twitter, Citrix, and Intel. She has also owned several small businesses and represented South Africa in two Action Netball World Cups. In 2015 she gained the African Excellence PR Award in the technology and consumer electronics category.

Sarah leads strategic planning and day-to-day account management for our Technology and Entertainment and Corporate clients.

Lucy Fox

Account Director - Beauty & Wellness

BA, BCom, Management and Art History, University of Otago

Lucy has extensive experience in agency and in-house PR and publicity, working for some of New Zealand’s largest companies including Television New Zealand and Sky Television. She joined Pead PR in May 2015 and quickly progressed to become an Account Director for Pead’s fashion, lifestyle and beauty clients. Lucy’s experience working both in-house and for agency has been invaluable and she’s now taken that passion and expertise to Pead’s beauty team and its stable of global clients.

Rawinia has more than eight years’ experience in marketing and communications in New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Europe. She has experience in a range of sectors including corporate, executive education, travel and tourism, retail, fashion and FMCG. She has held senior positions in-house, as a consultant and also in agency PR.

Sian Church

Sian has strong corporate PR and agency experience in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Sian has worked on business brands ranging from start-ups to mid-sized firms and international corporates. She has also worked on award-winning PR campaigns such as the Rentokil Pop-up "Pestaurant", which has won nine prestigious awards in the UK. As an account director for the technology and entertainment team, Sian is responsible for all strategic planning and day to day account management.

Nicole is an experienced marketing, communications and public relations professional who has worked largely in the premium tourism industry and FMCG in New Zealand and overseas. She has worked in Hawaii, Miami, New York and London on a range of events, activations, media partnerships and integrated campaigns. Her key strengths include media relations, content creation and management, strategy and branding.

Rachael’s food and drink expertise combines with a background in news generation to produce a winning combination for her clients – making brands famous. Her skillset lies in creating headlines and engaging ideas whilst telling the story behind a brand. This results in meaningful and effective PR and social media campaigns.

From London to Auckland, Rachael can offer a global perspective having worked with major international brands and leading UK retailers. Rachael’s skillset is varied and includes strategy, creative campaigns, news generation, media relations, events, influencer marketing, social media planning and content creation.

Cate lives and breathes social and new digital media. Her unique mix of skills and experience is a valuable asset to our clients. She has worked on some of the biggest media brands in New Zealand and offers valuable insight into the realities of social media for business. 

Always ahead of the media curve and an excellent networker, Cate uses her extensive experience with editorial, research, content management, curation and video and web production to help our clients navigate the sometimes stormy digital seas.
